Throughout the years, Positive Actions Foundation Philippines, Inc. (PAFPI) was at the forefront of HIV and AIDS advocacy. It is no wonder that the organization produced numerous publications of varying interests and angles related to HIV and AIDS advocacy in the country.

Publications & Knowledge Resources

Since its establishment, the Positive Action Foundation Philippines, Inc. (PAFPI) has been at the forefront of HIV advocacy, community empowerment, and policy development in the Philippines. Over the years, the organization has contributed to the national and regional response to HIV through the development of publications, case studies, and technical reports that document community experiences, promote best practices, and support evidence-based advocacy.

These publications reflect PAFPI’s commitment to sharing knowledge, strengthening community-led responses, and advancing access to HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support.

Selected Publications

HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care and Support: Stories from the Community 

A collection of community experiences highlighting effective approaches to HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support while showcasing the resilience and lived experiences of people living with HIV.

Condoms On! Cast Off!: Prevention Education for Departing Filipino Migrant Workers

A publication focusing on HIV prevention education for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), documenting strategies that promote safer migration and increased awareness among departing workers. Published by: United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), 2003.

Institutionalization of Access to Treatment in the Philippines

PAFPI’s contribution to the 2006–2007 Philippine Report submitted to the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS (UNGASS) and presented in New York in 2008. The report documents the country’s progress in expanding access to HIV treatment and strengthening national policies.

Case Study: Care and Support

A Philippine case study presented during the East Asia and Pacific Consultation on Children and HIV/AIDS (2006), highlighting community-based approaches to providing care and support for children, families, and people living with HIV.

Building Knowledge for a Stronger HIV Response

Beyond service delivery, PAFPI remains committed to documenting lessons learned, promoting evidence-based interventions, and sharing community experiences that contribute to stronger HIV programs in the Philippines and across the region. Through research, publications, advocacy, and collaboration, the organization continues to support policies and programs that improve the lives of people living with HIV and help build communities free from stigma and discrimination.
